1. We own at least one article of clothing that says our man’s Military Branch on it and wear it at least once a week.
2. Our facebook profiles have something to do with a military theme or have song lyrics in them.
3. We know what the terms Head, Rack, Field Day and PT mean and have no trouble using them on a daily basis.
4. We know the difference between a Recruit, Enlisted, Officer and know the rank structure like the back of our hand.
5. We feel every note in our man’s military songs
6. We watch the news and cry hysterically for fallen Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors, and no one seems to understand why.
7. We just cry…. and cry…. and cry… and cry for no reason at all! (It’s normal isn’t it?)
8. We have at least one (but probably more) family member or friend that doesn’t approve or understand our long distance relationship.
9. At the ages 17, 18, 19, 20, 21; we have no problem saying YES to a marriage proposal.
10. Everytime theres an inspirational military picture on facebook you share it
11. They smile when they see a soldier in public dressed in his uniform
12. They get a little teary eyed when they recognize U.S. soldiers at sporting events.
13.They will post this on their tumblr for everyone to see!
14. You dont mind a phone call waking you up at 4 a.m.
15. You tell people that he’s (only) been gone a month.
16. The smallest contact from your man makes your whole week.
17. You cry over an email that says nothing more than HI & I MISS YOU.
18. Those recruitment commercials on TV make you cry because of how proud you are.
19. You sleep in PT attire & cuddle up in poncho liner, because its the closest youll get to your military man.
20. You get excited just knowing that your husband/boyfriend tried to call but didnt get through.
21. Your favorite “man” to see everyday is the MAILMAN.
22. You hate Sundays because the post office is closed.
23. A 30 second phone call after no calls from him for 3 months leaves you full of joy.
24. “NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS” becomes your motto.
25. You feel yourself growing more & more in love with your man while he’s so far away.
26. Planning letters/care packages and putting them in the mail is more exciting then going out for a night with the girls.
27. You roll your eyes when you hear someone say “I havent seen my man for a week” (If they only knew).
28. You don’t mind tripping over combat boots left in the middle of the bedroom floor.
29. You can go from being happy, to sad, to lonely, to angry, to proud, and back to happy in a matter of less than an hour.
30. You sleep with the phone right next to you.
31. You jump up when the phone rings and accidentally hurt yourself.
32. The sight of any other man in uniform makes you miss your man MORE than it makes you drool.
33. You try to explain to civilans what your man does for a living & they stare blankly because they don’t understand a third of what you just told them.
34. You feel lucky for each second granted to the two of you.
35. Every new watch you buy has a two time zone feature.
36. Phone kisses are just as good as the real ones..if not better.
37. You realize you can forgive your man for not calling for a few weeks due to the fact that he honestly did have to work.
38. Your cell phone shows 87 screens full of the number 2 for “repeat message” after you hear he had left a message because you missed his first & only call.
39. You have seen a lot of military movies, military chickflicks are a must.
40. You haven’t heard from him in a while and you find yourself reading the old letters you have received.
41. You don’t bat an eyelash when he says “uh, honey they changed when I’m supposed to return home,” yet again (for the 10 millionth time).
